The other internet marketing tool beside PageRank is Alexa rank. Alexa rank is a part of Amazon.com that provide us the information about website traffic. What is the difference between Google's PageRank and Alexa Rank? Alexa Rank have nothing to do with our website's position in certain search engine. Alexa is all about visitors. The more visitors read our website the higher our ranking noted by Alexa. The question: is it important to have high rank in Alexa? Well, it is all depend on you. If you build your website just for fun or you consider it as your online diary then you could ignore PageRank and Alexa Rank. But if you build your blog in order to get money then Alexa Rank is important as well as Google's PageRank.
