PageRank

PageRank is a tool of Google. When we talk about optimizing certain website, we will always referred to the heart of the website's life = Visitor. We already know how to increase visitors to our website. We may simply follow traffic exchange program that supposed to be free of charge, we could buy traffic although this is not recommended (there are so many fake program in the internet). But I'd like to tell that many visitors are not enough to optimizing your website popularity. Did you know why? Visitors may come from many link exchange or traffic exchange programs which are not indicate a targeted, qualified visitors. They may come by accident or just make a click as a traffic exchange's member. One of internet tools which reflect the popularity of the website is called "PageRank".
The name PageRank is a trademark of Google. PageRank reflects our view of the importance of web pages by considering more than 500 illion variables and 2 billion terms. Pages that we believe are important pages receive a higher PageRank and are more likely to appear at the top of the search engine.

How to calculate our PageRank?

Suppose a small universe of four web pages: A, B, C and D. If all those pages link to A, then the PageRank of page A would be the sum of the PR of pages B, C and D.

PR(A) = PR(B) + PR(C) + PR(D)

But then suppose page B also has a link to page C , and page D has links to all three pages. One cannot vote twice, and for that reason it is considered that page B has given half a vote to each. In the same logic, only one third of D's vote is counted for A's PageRank.

In a short, you need many "back links" (one way link to your website where others make link to your web pages but yo do not link back to them) in order to increase the popularity of your website. The higher your PR value will increase your position at google search engine.

So keep up your work in building your website and optimize it in a smart way.
